At Laggträsket you can rent a cottage and access fantastic fishing possibilities with a lake who’s fresh, cold water give perfect conditions for trout, arctic char and whitefish.
Stay in the hunting- and fishing paradise Laggträsket, in the middle of Lapland. The cottages by the lake are embedded by the forest, calm and fresh air. In the area you’ll find several wind shelters, a wooden fired sauna and a timbered cottage with central fireplace.
The water in the lake is cold and clear and is filled by the multiple nearby sources. The lake is drained though its’ north-east edge. The lake has a surface of 36 hectares and is up to 20 m deep. Trout, arctic char and whitefish naturally reproduce themself thanks to good spawning conditions.
Fishes of about up to two kilos are not unusual. The record is a trout of 4,7 kilos and an arctic char of 6 kilos. The lake bed is in many places made of gravel which creates good spawning conditions for both trout and arctic char. As the water is so clear and and poor in nutrition and as the water constantly moves, the lake bed never gets slurry.
