Stay beside Lake Laggträsket, in the midst of the wilderness

Cabins | Stay on the shores of Lake Laggträsket in central Lapland, a hunting and fishing paradise. Rent a cabin and relish the tranquility and the fresh air as well as the fishing and small game hunting. The area is also ripe for berry picking.

Along the shores of Lake Laggträsket in central Lapland a number of cabins and boats are available for hire. Wooden shelters with a fireplace have been constructed around the lake and there is a wood-fired sauna too. Water is collected from a nearby spring. There is a mineral trail and other walks in the beautiful surroundings which are particularly suitable for riding.
The 36 hectare lake is fed by a number of natural springs and its clear, cold water, up to 20m deep, flows out through a gap in the ridge that borders the north-eastern shore. It is home to natural stocks of trout, arctic char and whitefish. Those wanting to fish can book their permit in advance.

Lake Laggträsket is within a 6,000 hectare hunting area containing capercaillie, black grouse, willow grouse and hare. The landscape is varied, with wide expanses of marshland in the south and old forest covered undulating terrain dominating the north. Substantial areas of the old forest contain trees that are up to 500 years old. Only those staying in the Lake Laggträsket accommodation are allowed to hunt small game here and guests can book their hunting permits in advance.
